My recent work led me to a conclusion that at the very beginning I should start from composition of a painting.
A careful plan of composition helps to build on. Than I can work on value balances and shapes and colour.
It is dififcult to repiar a painting badly designed/composed rather than to improve colour, tone, figures, drawings etc.
